Happy New Year everyone!

I wanted fun nails to ring in the new year so I opted for glitter gradient silver nails. Something about silver screams New Years to me…

First I primed my nails with Essie Feed Me and followed with two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City which is a molten true silver and I’m sorry I haven’t used it sooner because it is a great liquid metal for the price.

Then the glitter! For glitter gradient I usually do two coats. The first starting half way down my nail, I drag the brush on its side in different size lines to create a dripping effect (this is much for visible on non metallic polish).

Then the second coat I concentrate around the tip of the nail like a glitter French tip.

On my thumb I used a konad stamp for the firework bursts and a thin brush for the 2014 and finished with a thick layer of Seche Vite top coat.

Wishing everyone health, love and happiness for the new year!!! 😊

I used tape to create my thicker peppermint lines because I wanted them to be crisp and then used a thin brush to paint the thinner ones. I added a bit of Revlon Heavenly glitter polish because, why not, and then I finished using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri too coat which may be my new favorite (yes, even over Seche Vite…I haven’t decided yet).
